About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in a Float Pool, requiring flexibility to work across various Med/Surg and Telemetry units, including potential ED coverage for the same patient population. The position involves working 3x12-hour day/night rotating shifts and requires availability to work at least every other holiday. Successful candidates must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.

Requirements

• Active permanent Ohio RN license or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at submission
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required; travel experience may qualify
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be active at submission
• Must be comfortable floating across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and designated units, including ED coverage for the same patient population
• Ability to work 3x12-hour day/night rotating shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) based on operational needs
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• One manager, ANM, supervisor, or director reference from the specialty required from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• All RTO must be disclosed at submission and discussed during the interview
• Must successfully pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (maximum 2 attempts)
• No active/open background cases or license hits accepted
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract

Responsibilities

• Float across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and designated units
• Provide coverage in the ED for the same patient population as Med/Surg/Telemetry
• Work 3x12-hour day/night rotating shifts
• Be available to work at least every other holiday
• Pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
