About The Position
This Registered Nurse position in the Float Pool at UAB St. Vincent's is a full-time night shift role, operating from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The nurse will provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment, adhering to established policies and protocols. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, recording and communicating patient conditions, coordinating care among different disciplines, executing physician and nursing orders, and assessing patient care needs with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
- One (1) year of nursing experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) years of Bedside Experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.
