About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a hospital Float Pool assignment. The RN will provide flexible, high-quality patient care across multiple units based on staffing needs, ensuring safe, culturally competent, and evidence-based nursing practice.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-unit hospital environment
- Experience providing age-specific and culturally competent care
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychological, and social)
- Identify actual and potential patient care needs and nursing diagnoses
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and care teams using SBAR
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition promptly
- Provide direct patient care following hospital policies and evidence-based standards
- Deliver patient and family education based on care plans
- Respond to emergency situations with critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and quality standards are met
- Participate in discharge planning and interdisciplinary care coordination
