About The Position

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Pediatric Float Pool, working nights. This role involves applying the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. The nurse will communicate effectively with the healthcare team, collaborate on patient goals, and pursue professional growth. The Pediatric Float Pool provides specialty services across Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital, including acute care, critical care, emergency, and neonatal ICU. The program orients new nurses to various areas and offers opportunities to work with diverse teams and increase knowledge and skills.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved discipline specific program: Nursing (Required)
• LIC-Registered Nurse - Licensure-Others
• Relevant Work Experience
• 1 year Experience Level

Nice To Haves

• Two years of RN experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
• Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
• Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes.
• Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards.
