About The Position

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused ICU Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool and make a difference for our patients and our community. ICU RN’s will care for patients in our med/surg/progressive care inpatient units as well as patients needing critical care in one of our 4 ICU units: SICU, MICU, CCU and Burn ICU. We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient and family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient’s bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. Requirements

  • 1 YEAR OF CRITICAL CARE ICU EXPERIENCE (not open to New Grad RNs)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
  • Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
  • CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Nice To Haves

  • BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
  • One year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferred
  • ICU RN experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performing patient centered, safe, effective, equitable, timely and efficient patient care based on the specific needs of the patient populations served
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and the Care Team
  • Participating as an effective unit and nursing department member
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other health care team members across the organization
