About The Position

Regions Hospital is seeking an exceptional, experienced, patient-focused ICU Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool. This role involves caring for patients in med/surg/progressive care inpatient units, as well as critical care patients in one of our four ICU units: SICU, MICU, CCU, and Burn ICU. The position is within a Level I Trauma Center known for saving lives, where the nursing staff are key to exceptional patient care. The Professional Nursing Practice Model emphasizes patient and family-centered care with a focus on caring and healing at the patient's bedside. Through a Shared Governance Model, nursing professionals are empowered to manage their clinical practice and working environment, focusing on evidence-based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation, including a Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program, a nurse residency structured program designed to support learning, role transition, and retention. All new hire registered nurses are automatically enrolled in this program. The hospital is proud of its award-winning programs that provide comfort and healing to patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
  • Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
  • CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Nice To Haves

  • BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
  • One year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferred
  • ICU RN experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Participating as an effective unit and nursing department member
