About The Position

The Float Pool RN I (FPRN I) is a flexible and experienced professional RN who is competent to work within specified specialty groups. The FPRNI is a proficient clinical nurse who utilizes the nursing process to provide safe and therapeutic patient care. A FPRN I functions as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team, carrying out established policies, procedures, and standards to meet the needs of high acuity patients. A FPRN I advocates for the advancement of the mission, vision, and values of the organization, promoting patient throughput, the optimal patient experience, and integrating evidence-based nursing into clinical practice. As a Float Pool Registered Nurse I (FPRN I) in the Float Pool, you will be oriented to multiple inpatient departments. Our nursing float pool supplements staffing throughout the hospital based on need. Nurses who work in the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center float pool can float between multiple areas, including Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and DOU.

Requirements

  • Current California RN license
  • American Heart Association BLS card
  • American Heart Association ACLS card
  • Basic EKG
  • NIHSS (Stroke)
  • Los Angeles County Fire Card (within 30 days of hire)
  • Assault Response Competency (ARC) (within 30 days of employment)

Responsibilities
