Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Two years RN experience.
  • Current RN license in the State of Michigan.
  • BCLS/ACLS per unit's standard.
  • Certifications appropriate for specific unit.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of emergency department experience preferred.
  • 1 year of leadership or like experience.
  • BSN highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development of a multidisciplinary plan of care to ensure appropriate length of stay, resource utilization, and quality outcomes.
  • Provide patient education and support, addressing fears and anxiety through effective communication and teaching.
  • Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform procedures such as dressing changes and blood glucose monitoring.
  • Monitor patient responses to interventions, recognizing and responding to acute changes in condition.
  • Collaborate with case managers to ensure seamless discharge planning and appropriate follow-up care.
