About The Position
This role involves providing direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment, adhering to established policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse will implement and monitor patient care plans, track and communicate patient conditions, coordinate care among different disciplines, execute physician and nursing orders, and assess patient care needs with the healthcare team. The position is within the Float Staffing department, covering ICU, ED, and MedSurg units.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
- One (1) year of nursing experience required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.
