Under the supervision of the Families Forward Crisis Services manager, providing integrated behavioral and physical healthcare, including managing medication, assessing and coordinating physical/medical care, and providing direct services within Families Forward Crisis Services. Will provide medical triage for youth with Serious Emotional Disturbances (SED), substance use disorders and Developmental Disabilities coming into crisis services. May be responsible for the orderly administration and maintenance of medication which involves administering prescribed drugs both within Crisis Services. Duties include a variety of supportive services and direct interventions with consumers. May render general nursing care and provide medical support in accordance with approved nursing practices. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to providing information and assistance specific to the area of assignment performing admissions screening on new consumers, serving as agency liaison, performing crisis intervention activities, providing case management, providing patient education, and supporting the CSU in the future. In the future, will occasionally provide back up for adults with severe and persistent mental illness, substance use disorders and Developmental Disabilities who are in crisis, needing stabilization. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
