Registered Nurse (RN) Fellow Neuro ICU
About The Position
We are seeking a Registered Nurse Fellow to join the Neuroscience ICU (NSICU). This position is for an experienced RN transitioning to the NSICU and is part of the October 2026 Critical Care Fellowship. The NSICU at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is an 18-bed adult unit treating complex neurological patients. It is an academic Magnet-designated facility, nationally recognized, and holds the AACN’s Bronze Beacon Award. It is Northern Virginia’s only dedicated NSICU and a JCAHO-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. The unit is Level 4 Epilepsy certified by the NAEC and actively engaged in clinical research. This fast-paced, team-driven environment focuses on high-quality care and professional development, with nursing staff working closely with Neuro and Medical Intensivists, Interventionalists, Neurosurgeons and fellows, and APPs.
Requirements
- 1 year of RN experience.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required (AHA).
- RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
- If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
