About The Position

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) located in Watertown, NY. The shift is from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, with a 36-hour guarantee. The unit has 64 beds, including 2 triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 trauma, 10 CDU, and 6 psych beds. Common patient diagnoses include Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure. The nurse will utilize specialty equipment such as the Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. Patients served range from Newborns to Geriatrics.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license
• Experience in Emergency Room nursing
• Ability to work the 6:30 am - 7:00 pm shift
• Willingness to work a 13-week contract

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with common diagnoses including Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Care for patients across all age groups: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatric.
• Work within a unit that has 64 beds, including specialized areas like triage, acute care, super track, trauma, CDU, and psych.
