Registered Nurse - ER
About The Position
This is a Registered Nurse position in the Emergency Room (ER). The role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience, and first-time travelers are not accepted. The patient population ranges from infants to geriatrics. The unit has 46 rooms with an average daily census of 135. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. The role requires flexibility for floating, potentially to a sister campus (Piedmont Eastside South). There are no call requirements. Compliance with all requirements is necessary to start on time; delays may occur due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Aya Offers are available under specific conditions, including clinical pass within RTO guidelines and meeting facility requirements. Locals are accepted at the same rate. The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours depends on the contract length.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of ER experience.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- PALS certification.
- Proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR.
- Ability to float to a sister campus.
- Willingness to work every other weekend.
- Willingness to work holidays as assigned.
- Full compliance with all requirements for timely start.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room setting.
- Manage a patient load of up to 4 patients.
- Adhere to unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication.
- Float to other units or sister campuses if needed.
- Work every other weekend unless otherwise specified.
- Work holidays as assigned, based on the number of major holidays within the assignment period.
- Ensure full compliance with all requirements for timely start.
- Participate in orientation as required.
