About The Position
An opportunity south near Hays, KS is available for a Registered Nurse seeking a position in the ER Department. This is a full-time, permanent position with a schedule of Day Shift, 3, 12-hour shifts/week. Rotating Weekends are required.
Requirements
- RN License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certification required by start date
- 2+ years of ER experience required
Nice To Haves
- NRP Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Working closely with an EMT or CNA each shift, and would have support from nurses from neighboring units
- Assesses the patient on admission in accordance with hospital policies and procedures and unit-specific standards
- Communicates pertinent patient information and unit information to medical providers, house supervisor, and other appropriate persons while maintaining client confidentiality
- Administers therapeutic injections, venipuncture, or other IV therapies, performs blood pressure checks, inhalation therapy, catheterization, dressing changes, and other procedures within the scope of nursing practice and as ordered by the provider
