About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care (CC) unit is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients, adhering to established standards and practices. This role involves assisting physicians and staff with the daily coordination of patient care and patient access. The RN will coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, procedures, tests, and referrals. The position may also involve serving as a preceptor for clinical staff. The role requires the use of experience and judgment to accomplish responsibilities, working under minimal supervision. Creativity is expected in performing job duties, and the RN may lead and direct the work of others within the scope of practice.
