About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for Emergency Services. This role involves applying the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. The nurse will effectively communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team, collaborate in establishing patient goals, and evaluate progress. The position also requires furthering professional growth through learning activities as per Board of Nursing standards. Two shifts are available: nights (7p-7a) and variable shifts including 7p-7a, 10a-10p, and 1p-1am.

Relevant Work Experience
Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
1 year of experience

Responsibilities

Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.

Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
