About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room (ER) with at least 1 year of experience. First-timers are accepted. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 with mixed/shared acuity levels. While they will try to accommodate block schedules, it is not guaranteed. Locals are not accepted within a 75-mile radius. Pending licenses are not accepted. Minimal RTO restrictions are preferred. RNs must have mandatory competency in phlebotomy and placing IVs, as these are required skills at Unity. Floating may be required when census warrants, and every other weekend is mandatory. The role requires proficiency in General Emergency Department care for both Adult and Pediatric patients, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, starting IVs, managing continuous IV paralytics and sedation, administering emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation. Experience with CVA and isolation precautions is also necessary. Epic is preferred for charting.

Requirements

Responsibilities
