About The Position

ER Registered Nurse (RN) - This is a 13-week assignment with a start date of ASAP. The schedule includes 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, guaranteeing 36 hours per week. Every other weekend is required. Please note that if a traveler lives within 50 miles of the facility, the bill rate is $15 less than the travel rate. No blocked scheduling is permitted.

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of experience
• 2 years of recent ER experience required
• Active state nursing license required (NY or compact)
• If no NY license, must have already applied and provide application date
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• No disciplinary issues (“hits”) on nursing license

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias)
• Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues
• Administer blood products
• Manage central lines
• Start and maintain IVs
• Administer IV sedation and vasopressors
• Care for stroke (CVA) patients
• Care for ventilated patients
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Follow isolation precautions
• Perform triage
