About The Position

Firelands Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room (ER) on a part-time basis, working the 7am-3pm shift. This position offers a $5,000 retention bonus and a favorable nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 on the day shift. The role involves implementing the nursing process, performing patient assessments, monitoring care, documenting interventions, and instructing patients and families. The nurse will also respond to emergencies, manage medications and supplies, and ensure a clean environment. This position is located in Sandusky, a "Best Coastal Small Town in America" along Lake Erie. Requirements

Current Ohio RN license
CPR certification prior to patient care experience
Current PALS, ACLS, Basic EKG, and TNCC required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills
Computer proficiency

Responsibilities

Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
