About The Position

Under the Leadership of the Unit Manager, Supervisor, and /or Charge Nurse, is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing, assessing, and providing nursing care according to the mission, philosophy, policy and procedures of Barstow Community Hospital. Important dimensions of this position consists of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a fundamental nursing knowledge. Complete all other assignment as directed.

Requirements

Registered Nurse license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
Commitment to patient safety and quality care

Nice To Haves

Certification in Emergency Nursing (e.g., CEN)
Experience with trauma and critical care patients
Familiarity with Barstow Community Hospital's specific protocols and procedures

Responsibilities
