About The Position

Provides evaluation of assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Provides assistance to nursing peers as requested. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the nursing field.

Requirements

• Graduate of a nursing program
• Current Mississippi RN licensure
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification (or within 30 days of hire)
• PALS certification (or within 30 days of hire)
• TNCC certification (for new certifications, after one (1) year of emergency nursing experience)
• CPI certification (or within 90 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree
• One (1) year experience in emergency or critical care nursing
• ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification
