About The Position

Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Serve as a clinical leader, providing guidance and support to nursing staff while ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care. This is a full-time, 36-40 hours per week position with 12-hour day shifts (0545-1815) on a rotating schedule, working in both the Emergency Room and MedSurg. The role includes shared call duties (low census, certification, and mandatory call as needed). This is a Non-Exempt, Hourly, Union Benefited position.

Requirements

  • Current RN license from the Oregon State Board of Nursing required.
  • Current BLS required.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of 500-hour probationary period.
  • Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • ACLS, NRP, ENPC and TNCC certification as soon as available after hire.
  • Acute and Post Partum unit check off required after hire.
  • PALS certification encouraged.
  • At least one (1) year of acute clinical experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates excellence in emergency nursing skills and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize patient care and unit needs appropriately.
  • Function as a positive team member with other hospital staff and physicians.
  • Recognize and differentiate normal and abnormal patient assessments and conditions.
  • Provide effective education for patients, nursing staff members, and students.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with co-workers, physicians, and management staff.
