About The Position

This is a Registered Nurse position in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. The shift is 4x10 Days, with specific call requirements for travelers. Travelers are expected to participate in one week of weekday call every two months and one weekend of call every two months. Weekday call hours are from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM following the regular shift, and weekend call involves 24-hour coverage. Call-ins are typically for pacemaker cases and usually last about 2 hours. The call volume is generally low. The unit accepts first-time travelers. The position requires 2 years of experience. The EP Lab performs special procedures including Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal, Arrhythmia Induction, Baseline Measurements, Cardiac Ablation, Cardiac Mapping, Cardioversion, Conduction Studies, Insertion/Programming of AICDs, and Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience required
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • Proficiency in Epic
  • Experience in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing, Biology, or Chemistry. If the traveler’s higher education degree is in another field, a high school diploma must be provided.
