About The Position

University City Endoscopy is part of a group of facilities that service the north market endoscopy. We are a growing fast-paced team that supports both University City, Lake Norman hospital and two ambulatory procedural endoscopy units. Teammates work together in the endoscopy suites in preop, postop, and the procedure room alongside physicians. We do general GI endoscopy, some advanced GI, Bronchoscopies, and cardioversions. The unit focuses on strong teamwork, patient education, and safety, caring for inpatients and outpatients. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Previous endoscopy, PACU, procedural care experience strongly preferred for this role

Responsibilities

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
