About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Endoscopy department at Atrium Health Lake Norman plays a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. This involves delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The RN utilizes evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to create the safest patient environment and ensure the best patient experience across the continuum of care. The department performs colonoscopies and EGD procedures in both hospital-based and outpatient settings. The team is highly specialized, engaged, and works in a positive, collaborative culture within a brand-new facility. The role offers opportunities for self-motivation, learning, and growth as the unit expands.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- Previous Procedural Care experience preferred
- ACLS preferred
- Previous OR experience required
