About The Position

The GI Lab Department at Texas Health Plano is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their fast-paced, high-volume department. This is a full-time position with day shifts (7:00a – 5:30p), offering 10-hour shifts with Mondays off. The department is known for its robust Unit Based Council (UBC), engaged leadership, and opportunities for internal promotion, education, and growth, resulting in high retention and low turnover.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma in Nursing or Associate’s degree in nursing or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program
  • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • 6-months direct Endo/GI Lab experience as a RN strongly preferred
