About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the GI Lab at Texas Health Plano is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through nursing education, research, and innovations in practice. This role involves responding to patients' basic human needs, honoring their worth through unconditional acceptance, and engaging families in healthcare situations. The nurse will work collaboratively with patients and families to help them understand and confront their health and illness, providing attentive reassurance and an encouraging manner. The goal is to create a healing environment that ensures privacy, safety, confidentiality, and tranquility.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or Associate’s degree in nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
Other – CIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
1 year of experience a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

6-months direct Endo/GI Lab experience as a RN strongly preferred
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required
