About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency department at Community Regional Medical Center. The position offers opportunities for direct impact on quality patient care in a nurturing, dynamic, and team-oriented atmosphere. The nurse will provide comprehensive care for each patient in an exciting and challenging environment, playing an important role in ensuring the unit runs safely and efficiently. The role involves delivering patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs, adhering to professional standards and promoting nursing excellence through continued education and research. This position is within the Central Valley's only Level 1 Trauma Center, providing care for patients of all ages with a wide range of medical concerns and injuries, from common illnesses to major trauma. The department emphasizes education and teaching, with ED physicians part of the UCSF Fresno Emergency Medical Service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
  • Consistent demonstration of competent clinical nursing practice proficiency required
  • Must have at least 1+ years Acute Care RN Experience
  • RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care for each patient in an exciting and challenging environment.
  • Play an important role in ensuring that our unit runs safely and efficiently.
  • Deliver patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs with the highest professional standard while promoting nursing excellence through continued education and research, based on the Title 22 and Title 16, the ANA Scope & Standards of Practice, the Code of Ethics.
  • Care for all levels and ages of patients with medical concerns and injuries ranging from the common cold to heart attacks and strokes to broken bones and major trauma.
