About The Position
Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Dept. Bring your passion to Texas Health where we are Better+Together. Work location: Texas Health Cleburne, 201 Walls Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033. Work hours: Full Time, Nights (7p-7a) with rotating weekends/holidays. Emergency Department highlights: Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth. Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team. Level 4 Trauma Emergency Department with 17 beds. Great partnership with our physician group. Several Clinical Excellence Awarded preceptor nurses.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
- One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
- BCLS – prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly
- ACLS – within 90 days of hire
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 days of hire
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support – within 90 Days of hire
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course - within 12 Months of hire
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- One year of Emergency experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
