About The Position

Hocking Valley Community Hospital (HVCH) is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to become part of our supportive and hardworking team in Emergency Services/ER. This is a part-time position with 5 twelve-hour shifts per pay period, including every other weekend. The pay range is $31.31/hr to $42.14/hr based on experience, with additional pay for a BSN and shift differential pay as applicable.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in nursing.
  • Active State of Ohio Registered Nurse Nursing License.
  • CPR - approved by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS (within 6 months of hire) - approved by the American Heart Association.
  • Pediatric Emergency Certification (within 6 months of hire) - PALS approved by the American Heart Association or ENPC approved by the Emergency Nurses Association.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Services/ER department.
  • Administer medications and treatments.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and condition.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Respond to emergency situations.
  • Participate in advanced training and education in the SIM Lab.
  • Engage in the Clinical Ladder/Residency program for nurses.
