About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Pediatric Emergency Department. This is a full-time night position. The Pediatric ER cares for patients from newborns to 18 years old and sees upwards of 65,000 patients annually. VUMC is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center. The role involves applying the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. The nurse will communicate patient information to the healthcare team, collaborate on patient goals, and evaluate progress. Professional growth is encouraged through learning activities. A relocation stipend is available for eligible new hires.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved discipline specific program: Nursing (Required)
LIC-Registered Nurse - Licensure-Others
Relevant Work Experience
1 year of RN experience preferred

Nice To Haves

One year of RN experience preferred

Responsibilities

Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes.
Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards.
