About The Position

This position is eligible for a commitment bonus! $20,000 for experienced RNs, and $10,000 for new graduate RNs. Schedule: 3 x 12 hr. shifts per week on the Day Shift (7a – 7p) + rotating weekends. Our Emergency Department is a rural, 20-bed unit serving Rutherford County and surrounding communities with responsive, patient-centered emergency care. Nurses care for patients across a wide range of acuity levels and work closely with providers, ancillary departments, and inpatient teams to support timely assessment, treatment, stabilization, and transition of care. Requirements

Current North Carolina or compact state RN license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire
Associate’s degree in nursing required
One year of RN experience as an Emergency Department RN required

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient
