About The Position

At Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center, we are committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our community. We are currently seeking a dedicated, skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic emergency department team. As an ER RN, you’ll play a critical role in delivering fast, efficient, and compassionate care to patients in their most urgent moments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardio Life Support Certification) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification) required.
Active Colorado RN license required.
Three years of previous work experience as an RN is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional multitasking and time-management skills.
Ability to work closely with a team and patients.
Willingness to continually learn the latest advancements in emergency medicine.
Ability to place intravenous lines, set bones and perform other emergency medical tasks quickly and efficiently.
Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course certification) is required but can be completed within six months of hire.
Previous emergency room work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide care in emergency room and other critical care settings.
Quickly assess conditions and stabilize patients in life-threatening emergencies such as strokes, heart attacks or severe injuries.
Triage cases in order of urgency and need.
Administer medication as instructed by physicians.
Start intravenous lines, intubations, patient stitches and sutures as directed.
Create and maintain incoming patient records.
Work closely with team of emergency staff to help patients.
