RN- Emergency Room (Full-Time, Day shift)
About The Position

Their services include Advanced Emergency Services, Robotic-Assisted Surgery, Neurosurgery & Spine Care, Women’s Health & Maternity, Imaging & Diagnostics, and Outpatient & Specialty Care. The network comprises Secaucus University Hospital, Bayonne University Hospital, Hoboken University Hospital, and The Heights University Hospital.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- Current Registered Nurse New Jersey State license.
- BLS, ACLS and PALS and/or, ENPC within 1 year of hire.
- A minimum of 8 hours of education every two years in basic trauma assessment intervention and stabilization.
- At least 1-year RN ED work experience in a hospital setting is required to qualify for the $10,000 sign-on bonus.
- Influenza Vaccinations are a requirement for employment.

Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
- Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
- Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting.
- Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision.
- The ability to triage safely, rapidly and accurately, every patient that enters the ED.
- Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the department.
- Communicates with physicians about changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies.
- The ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Demonstrates the ability to use equipment specific to the Emergency Department.
