About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across a broad spectrum of acute conditions, ensuring prompt assessment, intervention, and ongoing management. Requirements

Valid RN license with current registration; additional certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), or Neonatal Resuscitation Program are required.
Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
Knowledge of advanced procedures including suturing, catheterization (cardiac or urinary), ventilator management, and infectious disease protocols.
Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), laboratory experience, specimen collection/processing, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and anatomy relevant to emergency medicine.
Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
Ability to perform under pressure in high-stakes environments while maintaining professionalism and compassion.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of two years of emergency room experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center preferred.
Extensive critical care experience including ICU, trauma medicine, or post-operative recovery is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using advanced EMR/EHR systems.
Deliver immediate emergency interventions such as airway management, IV infusion, suturing, and aseptic technique to stabilize patients.
Manage acute pain through appropriate medication administration and non-pharmacological methods while ensuring compliance with pain management protocols.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex needs including trauma, infectious diseases, or chronic conditions.
Conduct diagnostic evaluations utilizing laboratory testing, specimen collection/processing, and interpretation of diagnostic imaging such as CT scans or sonography.
Assist in procedures requiring specialized skills such as catheterization (cardiac or urinary), ventilator management, or neonatal resuscitation procedures.
Maintain detailed medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate coding using ICD-10/ICD-9 standards for billing purposes.
Participate in discharge planning and patient education to promote recovery at home or in long-term care settings.
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to prevent hospital-acquired infections.
Provide support during high-stakes situations including Level I and Level II trauma cases or critical care scenarios in ICU or PICU environments.
