The Emergency Department is a dynamic and welcoming space with 10 specialized ED rooms and a dedicated triage space. Hartford ED is equipped to care for patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. Also offers resources like Tele-Stroke and Tele-Psych services. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or within 6 months.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or within 6 months.
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) issued by the Emergency Nurses Association or within 12 months.

Nice To Haves

  • RN ED experience is preferred; will consider candidates with previous RN experience who have a passion for the ED.

Responsibilities

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
