About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and advocating for patients throughout their emergency care journey.

Requirements

Current, active, and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) License
At least one year of knowledge and experience in Emergency Department, Critical Care, Telemetry, or Acute Care
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to obtain within established timeframe
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment
Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
Ability to maintain composure and professionalism during high-stress situations

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Bilingual language skills
Emergency nursing certification (CEN) preferred
Experience with electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
Performs assessments, develops and implements care plans, administers medications and treatments, coordinates care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and serves as a patient advocate throughout the continuum of care.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient monitoring.
Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards of practice.
Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient conditions.
Utilize clinical judgment to prioritize care and escalate concerns appropriately.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Develop and implement individualized plans of care.
Coordinate care with emergency physicians, specialists, and ancillary departments.
Monitor patient progress and revise care plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
Ensure compliance with evidence-based practice standards, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with discharge planning and patient education to support successful transitions of care.
