About The Position
Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Adult) Job Duration: 13 weeks Location : Rochester, NY Scheduling Details & Charting Shift Hours / Contract Length: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 13 weeks Charting System: EPIC experience required Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend RTO / Block & Special Scheduling Requests: Must be submitted upon application Call-Off Policy: Up to three shifts may be canceled during a 13-week contract without penalty Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed First-Time Travelers: Accepted Required Licenses & Certifications Active New York Single State RN license (pending licenses not accepted; NY is not compact) BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required Required Clinical Skills IV therapy: blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting/maintaining IVs, IV vasopressors CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management Care for CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI Cardiac monitoring: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Emergency care: adult/pediatric ED, gunshot wounds, orthopedic trauma Isolation precautions, triage, pediatric spinal cord injury Unit Details & Floating Patient Ratios: 1:5 (Adults, Geriatrics, all emergency diagnoses) Special Equipment: Bair Hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment Floating: Required within skillset Scrub Color: Navy blue and white combinations Orientation Duration: 16 hours COVID-19 Vaccine Policy Not required For more details reach at [email protected] or Call / Text at 732 791 4807 - EXT 4807 . Requirements
- Active New York Single State RN license (pending licenses not accepted; NY is not compact)
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- IV therapy: blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting/maintaining IVs, IV vasopressors
- CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management
- Care for CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI
- Cardiac monitoring: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Emergency care: adult/pediatric ED, gunshot wounds, orthopedic trauma
- Isolation precautions, triage, pediatric spinal cord injury
- EPIC experience required
