About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (Adult) for an exciting job in Rochester, NY.
Requirements
- Active New York State RN license (single-state; compact licenses not accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Recent experience in a high-acuity Adult Emergency Department
- EPIC charting experience required
- Strong critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
- Perform triage, rapid assessments, and ongoing patient evaluations
- Initiate and manage IV therapy, including blood products and vasopressors
- Manage CPAP/BiPAP and mechanically ventilated patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias
- Care for patients with CVA, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries
- Assist in trauma care, including gunshot wounds and orthopedic emergencies
- Maintain isolation precautions and patient safety standards
- Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
- Float within skillset as required
