About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will join a dynamic float pool, primarily assigned to a very busy Emergency Department. Responsibilities will include caring for boarded patients, which may include those requiring medical-surgical, stepdown, or ICU-level care. There may also be occasions to float to an acute care unit as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar-sized Level 1 trauma facility.
• Current certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
• Strong nursing assessment skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Demonstrated ability to float between units, adapting quickly to different patient care environments.
• Resume with no employment gaps.
• Emergency Department skills checklist.
• References from previous Emergency Department experiences.
• Upload demographics, including an appropriate badge photo.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to those in the Emergency Department.
• Manage a diverse patient population, including boarder patients.
• Participate in patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate efficiently with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to other acute units as required, adapting to various care scenarios.
