About The Position
This is an invite-only event for an interview day with the Emergency Department team at Sentara Leigh Hospital on Thursday, August 27th. The Emergency Department is a 35-bed unit seeing approximately 75,000 patients annually and is ranked #1 for Patient Experience. They are seeking both experienced ED RNs and acute-care experienced nurses interested in transitioning to the specialty. Sentara offers a 20-week Transition to Practice program for skill acquisition in the Emergency Department. New Grad RNs are also welcome to apply. Opportunities include Direct Care RNs with Full Time Day, Evening, and Night Shift openings. The primary duties involve assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overall patient care, emphasizing teamwork. Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 274-bed acute care facility. It includes a dedicated Orthopedic Hospital, is an accredited Primary Stroke Center, and a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence. The hospital specializes in orthopedic and spine care, heart, vascular, maternity care, and general surgery. It also houses the region's only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program.
