Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
About The Position
The Emergency Department at Atrium Health Cleveland provides 24-hour emergency medical services to Cleveland County and surrounding communities, delivering high-quality care for patients of all ages. The department is equipped to handle a full spectrum of emergency needs, from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions. It is a 36-bed Level III trauma center with around-the-clock physician coverage, resources for resuscitation, surgery, and intensive care for trauma patients. As a designated Chest Pain Center, the team adheres to rigorous clinical standards, with on-call medical specialists available for consultation. The role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to ensure the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- At least 6 months of RN experience (not for new graduates).
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.
