About The Position
Registered Nurse responsible for providing patient care in a large volume Emergency Department with high acuity patients, utilizing strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a large volume ED with high acuity patients
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Skills in bipap/vents, splinting, triage, and understanding of ESI
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric emergency medicine experience is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Administer medications using barcode scanning
- Manage medication drips and blood product administration
- Perform triage and must pass hospital's Triage Test before allowed to triage
- Set up chest tubes and arterial lines, assist with trauma and code cases
- Provide care for pediatric emergency medicine cases
