Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department plays a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This role utilizes evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The Atrium Health Lincoln Emergency Department is a 25-bed unit providing 24-hour emergency medical services to Lincoln County and surrounding communities, equipped to handle a wide range of emergencies for patients of all ages.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- At least 6 months of RN experience (not for new graduates).
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of Critical Care (ED, ICU) experience preferred.
