About The Position
Humber River Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to work in their Emergency Department. They offer a unique training opportunity to Registered Nurses with Acute experience. Humber River Health is North America’s first fully digital hospital, founded in 2015, and is committed to changing healthcare through technology and clinical expertise. The role involves performing duties expected of a Registered Nurse within an acute care hospital Emergency Department.
Requirements
- Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Minimum 3-6 months medical/ surgical experience required
- BCLS certification upon hire to show proof of valid current certification
- ACLS course upon hire or completed within six months of your start date required.
- Excellent physical assessment skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a variety of staff, patients and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Good patient/family teaching skills
- Excellent critical thinking skills, with an ability to set priorities and work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work effectively/collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent attendance and discipline free record required
Nice To Haves
- Current Emergency experience preferred
- ICU experience is an asset
- Coronary Care I & II certificates or the equivalent is preferred or completed within 1 year of your start date
- TNCC, PALS or ENPC courses upon hire or completed within 1 year of your start date required.
- An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
