About The Position
Registered Nurse needed for the Emergency Department in one of the busiest EDs in the state. This position requires working with a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics and managing a variety of medical situations in a Level III trauma center.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in a large volume ED with high acuity patients
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC certifications
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Flexibility for weekend rotation every other weekend
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric emergency medicine experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Barcode scanning for medication administration
- Managing medication drips and blood product administration
- Triage patients and pass hospital's Triage Test
- Set up chest tubes, art lines, assist with trauma and code cases
- Perform splinting and work with bipap/vents
- Participate in handling stroke, cardiac, and pediatric emergencies
