About The Position

The Bedford Emergency Room is a full-service emergency department equipped to care for all medical and traumatic emergencies for all age groups, providing 24-hour patient care services to populations ranging from infant to elderly. The unit averages over 23,000 patient visits per year.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of RN experience.
• Associates of Nursing (ASN).
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may be made for candidates with over two years of acute care experience, subject to CNO approval).
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour provision of patient care services to populations ranging from infant to elderly.
• Address the most urgent and relevant clinical needs of patients during their emergency visit.
• Collaborate with board-certified Emergency Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, and Technicians.
• Deliver holistic care that is individualized based on patients' and their families' needs.
