Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
About The Position
The Atrium Health Cleveland Emergency Department provides 24-hour emergency medical services to Cleveland County and the surrounding communities, delivering high-quality care for patients of all ages. The department is equipped to handle a full spectrum of emergency needs, from treating minor injuries to managing life-threatening conditions. The 36-bed emergency department is a Level III trauma center, offering around-the-clock physician coverage, resuscitation, surgery, and intensive care for trauma patients. It is also a designated Chest Pain Center, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality care and adherence to rigorous clinical standards. On-call medical specialists are available for consultation, ensuring comprehensive, coordinated care. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. You will use evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- At least 6 months of RN experience (not for new graduates)
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred
