About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department plays a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. This involves delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Utilizing evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills, the RN leads efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum of care. The Emergency Department at Atrium Health Lincoln is a 25-bed unit providing 24-hour emergency medical services to Lincoln County and surrounding communities, equipped to handle a wide range of medical emergencies for patients of all ages with a staff of board-certified emergency medicine physicians.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• At least 6 months of RN experience (not for new graduates).
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.
