About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Emergency Department for a 13-week travel assignment in Lawrence, Kansas. This position involves nights from 1900-0700, 36 hours per week. The role requires the nurse to triage incoming patients, stabilize them, administer medications, perform various medical procedures, maintain patient records, collaborate with emergency staff, and assist with patient transfers.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ Years of ER experience; 5+ years of ER, Large facility experience preferred
• Previous MS, step down experience
• Active KS/Compact Registered Nursing License
• BLS/BCLS certified
• ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certification; TNCC desired
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
• Must pass a drug screen and background check
• Complete additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of ER experience

• TNCC certification

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patients based on level of injury or illness
• Immediately stabilize incoming patients
• Administer medication as instructed by physicians
• Start intravenous lines, and set broken bones
• Perform tracheotomies and intubations
• Give patients stitches and sutures
• Create and maintain incoming patient records
• Work with a team of emergency staff to help patients
• Help transfer stable patients to other wings
